Man is missing after falling in Lake Butler

A boater in his 20s is missing after falling in Lake Butler in Windermere on Saturday, July 12.

According to Orange County officials, on Saturday, July 12, first responders were called to 9927 Giffin Court by Lake Butler at around 4:15 p.m. after three people fell into the water.

Two out of the three people were able to make it out the water, but one of them never resurfaced.

In hopes of finding the boater, drones and divers are now searching for him in the lake.

No other details have been provided at this time.
