The Winter Garden Heritage Foundation is hosting a free back-to-school celebration and supply drive.

According to its Facebook post, it's a fun and meaningful way to kick off the new school year.

When residents donate school supplies, they're entered into a raffle with chances to win a dinner for two at one of Downtown Winter Garden's delicious restaurants.

The event will feature complimentary drinks and refreshments, as well as a special talk from Dr. John Cappleman, who's been serving the West Orange area since 1987.

Besides that, it's a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community with some family-friendly fun and a sneak peek at Winter Garden Heritage Foundation's newest exhibit, Trailblazers.

The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 7, at Heller Hall, 101 S. Boyd St., Winter Garden.

Space are limited. To RSVP, click here
"Let’s come together to support our students and celebrate the start of a great school year," the foundation posted on its Facebook.
