Oakland Nature Preserve warns pubic of prescribed burn to occur this week

Oakland Nature Preserve does not want the public to be alarmed if fire or smoke is seen at the Preserve this week. Oakland Nature Preserve staff is planning a prescribed burn on Thursday May 15 near the Fish Cabin, Education Center and Parking Lot areas.

The Preserve will be closed for public access that day, but an update will be posted on the Oakland Nature Preserve once it is reopened, alongside photos of a bloom afterwards.
