The 2025 high school football regular season has officially come to a close after Week 11 games.
West Orange shined in its contention against Dr. Phillips for the Ole Orange Crate. The Panthers came out of the gate first with a rushing touchdown and the Warriors followed up soon afterwards and continued to show up. West Orange hasn’t lost a home game in two years and the team extended its streak. The Warriors also won the Crate, the Shield and the Fence for the third time in school history.
In the Southwest Orange area, Windermere toppled Horizon in its Battle of the Smudge Pot. The Hawks led at halftime but Windermere came back and showed out to extend the team’s all-time winning streak to 19-0.
Ocoee and Olympia both were shut out against their opponents. Ocoee finished second in 7A District 5 and Olympia finished second in 7A District 9. On the flip side, Lake Buena Vista and The First Academy finished their seasons on a high note. LBV shined in its senior night and tallied in its fourth win in the Freelance district to place the team at .500 in district games.
Windermere High still has one more game to play on Monday, Nov. 3 against Oak Ridge. The game was rescheduled earlier in the season due to a situation at Oak Ridge.
Although the regular season has concluded, playoff games schedules will be released next week.
