Horizon High JROTC's Hawk Battalion is headed to states

The raider team took home trophies in 12 of the 15 events at the Raider District Meet.

Horizon High School's Hawk Battalion is headed to states. 

The JROTC program's raider team took home trophies in 12 of 15 events at the Raider District Meet Saturday, Nov. 1. 

The mixed team placed second overall and will be going to the state meet Saturday, Nov. 15 in Brooksville, Florida. The team placed second in the raider fitness challenge, raider item relay and rope bridge. The team also placed third in the 5K run. 

The male team tied for first place but lost the tie breaker to earn second overall. The team is on standby for states. The team placed second in the raider fitness challenge as well as third in the raider item relay, cross-country rescue and the 5K run. 

The female team placed third overall. The team placed second in the cross-country rescue as well as third place in the rope bridge, raider item relay and 5K run.
