Betty J's Florist is starting a new Christmas tradition in Winter Garden.
The flower shop will kick off 12 days of Christmas at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3 with lighting up its Hope Tree, offering wines, food bites and music.
"Think of it as a cozy holiday hangout — a chance to catch up with familiar faces, make new memories and welcome December with warmth and good company," the shop posted.
The second day will be Friday, Dec. 5, where Betty J's is hosting a toy drive to gift to 2500 children in West Orange County. Donations will be accepted all day.
Letters to Santa is next, taking place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, where children will have the opportunity to write letters to Santa Clause, eat cookies and candy canes, and a visit from one of Santa's elf.
The fourth day is Monday, Dec. 8, where residents are encouraged to write a kind deed or a promise of goodness to hang up on the Hope Tree. "A whole day dedicated to spreading a little light," Betty J's posted.
Day five is Wednesday, Dec. 10, and Betty J's is offering a one-day flash sale with mimosas and sparking lemonade.
The following day is Friday, Dec. 12, where Betty J's will host a Facebook thread where people can share their favorite Christmas stories. The story with the most likes will win a holiday surprise. The contest will start at 7 a.m. and end at 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15.
The next day, Saturday, Dec. 13, the flower shop will welcome kids, pets, couples and individuals for photos under the Hope Tree. This event will go from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Ornament day is next, Monday, Dec. 15, where every ornament purchased makes an impact. When an ornament is bought, $1 gets sent to a local Orange County charity.
On Thursday, Dec. 18, Santa Clause will be the one delivering the flowers. Make a purchase and keep your eyes open.. You might just see Santa.
Day 10 starts at 6 p.m. for a date night under the Hope tree. Couples get to enjoy an evening of free chocolates and bubbly, photos, glowing lights and bouquets available for purchase.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, Betty J's Florist will be offering a holiday sale from local makers for a day dedicated to supporting small business.
To complete the 12 days of Christmas, Betty J's will hold a live drawing at noon Monday, Dec. 22, called "Santa's Surprise Finale." Betty J's Magical Christmas Centerpiece will be delivered by Santa himself.
"Nothing fancy, nothing formal," the shop posted. "Just community, warmth and the start of a beautiful new tradition."
