Oakland Nature Preserve to host Jack-o-Lantern carving event

Attendees will carve pumpkins for ONP’s annual Pumpkin Glow event. The carving will take place from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 23 at 747 Machete Trail, Oakland.

Oakland Nature Preserve is hosting an evening of Jack-o-Lantern pumpkin carving.

It will take place from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 23 at ONP's Serenity Porch, at 747 Machete Trail, Oakland. 

The preserve will provide pumpkins for $6, though attendees can bring their own. 

Supplies also will be provided by ONP. 

Participants will  get a chance to meet Dart, an Eastern Tiger Salamander residing at the preserve. 

These pumpkins will be lined up out on the trail Friday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 25.
