Horizon West Hospital earns two prestigious awards

The hospital has received the American Heart Association Get With the Guidelines Resuscitation Silver Award and the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses Go Clear Award.

Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital has received two prestigious awards that highlight the hospital's dedication to providing excellent patient care and fostering a culture of the team's wellbeing. 

The hospital has received the American Heart Association Get With the Guidelines Resuscitation Silver Award and the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses Go Clear Award.

The Get With the Guidelines — Resuscitation Silver Award demonstrates the hospital's commitment to treating in-hospital cardiac arrests.

The Go Clear Award shows the hospital's surgical team has successfully completed the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses' comprehensive, evidence-based program and implemented advanced technologies to ensure a smoke-free environment in areas in which surgical smoke is generated. The award signifies the facility's proactive approach to protecting the health and wellbeing of everyone in the operating room. 

"I'm incredibly proud of our team's commitment to continually raise the base," said Joe Khayat, Orlando Health vice president and president of Orlando Health Horizon west Hospital. "These accomplishments are the result of dedication, collaboration and hard work, and they will have a lasting impact on the community we serve."
