West Orange County schools recognized for FFA programs

West Orange schools received checks for their nationally recognized FFA programs.

Sunridge and Lakeview middle schools as well as Dr. Phillips and West Orange high schools were recognized for their FFA programs. 

FFA is an intracurricular student organization for students interested in agriculture and leadership. 

Members tend to be future farmers, chemists, veterinarians, entrepreneurs and more. 

District 1 Commissioner Nicole Wilson recognized these schools and thanked the Orange County Farm Bureau for providing opportunities to improve the lives of the county's agricultural community.
