Foundation Academy’s setter Geiliany Del Valle breaks 3,000 assists

Foundation’s senior setter, Geiliany Del Valle, broke her third school record with 3,000 career assists.

Foundation Academy’s girls volleyball senior, Geiliany Del Valle, set her 3,000 career assist during her last regular season game. 

The senior setter, further etched herself in Foundation’s legacy. She holds the record for the most assists in a match, most assists in a season and the most assists in a career. Del Valle has led the team in aces this year, with 47. 

Del Valle recorded her achievement on the Lion’s senior night game Thursday, Oct. 9. She played an important role in Foundation’s sweet over Windermere High by recording 28 assists, six kills, five digs and three aces.

Foundation’s win also marked assistant coach Joel King’s 300th career win with the school. 

After graduation, Del Valle will continue her volleyball career at Emory Riddle-Aeronautical University.
