Ocoee Police Department has earned re-accreditation from the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation.

"The agency was commended for its diligence, professionalism and commitment to maintaining the highest standards in law enforcement," according to a Facebook post from the department.

Only approximately 6% of law enforcement agencies in the country are accredited, and only 157 agencies in Florida are accredited.

"This achievement places Ocoee PD among a select group recognized for excellence, accountability and service to our community," Ocoee PD posted. "We're grateful to our dedicated officers, professional staff and to the citizens of Ocoee for your trust and continued support."
