An application was recently submitted to Orange County to bring a Lowe's to Hamlin Town Center.

The 134,148 square-foot store would rise on a vacant 25-acre property directly north of the Walmart on Hamlin Groves Trail.

The national average size for Lowe's stores is 112,000 square feet, including the garden, which makes this store 22,148 square feet larger than the average Lowe's.

Construction has not yet started.
