LaVon Bracy Davis wins Florida Senate District 15 special election

Democrat LaVon Bracy Davis won the special elections Tuesday, Sept. 2.

The Senate District 15 race came to an end Tuesday, Sept. 2. 

Democrat LaVon Bracy Davis won the Florida Senate District 15 seat, defeating Willie Montague, her Republican opponent. 

Davis secured 72.58% of votes, while her opponent secured the remaining 27.43%. 

Davis will fill Sen. Geraldine Thompson's seat, which was left vacant earlier this year due to her passing.
