It’s a big night for high school football as five different teams play in district matchups. Entering Week 4, CFCA, Ocoee, West Orange, Windermere and Windermere Prep, all remain undefeated.
Following The First Academy’s 57-7 defeat over Treasure Coast last week, the Royals advanced to ninth in the high school football rankings in Florida. Ocoee hosts local school, Dr. Phillips, and the Knights will play for redemption of last years loss.
West Orange hopes to continue its success this season when they travel to Boone, another 3-0 school. The teams faced each other at the same time last year where the Warriors defeated the Braves, 24-17.
Kicking off at 6:30 p.m., is Foundation Academy traveling to Jupiter, Fla. to face fellow a fellow 3-1 team. The winner of the game will be able to take control of their conferences standings.
Jupiter Christian is no stranger to success. They hold the title of Sunshine State Athletic Association (SSAA) Class 5A state champions from 2024.
Foundation Academy’s coming off a nail-biting 20-19 win last week and are being lead by first year head coach Daniel White.
The Lions have been producing an average of 278 yards per game, with over half coming from passing yards. It’ll be key for them to expand on that level of production in order to surpass Jupiter Christian’s scoring average of 39.5. Foundation Academy will need to look towards their defensive end to limit Jupiter Christian’s running back, Randolph Jr. Wilkerson. He’s ranked 12th in the nation for his 12 recorded rushing touchdowns.
