Eastbound I-4 exit ramp to Sand Lake to close overnight

The Florida Department of Transportation announced the overnight closure of exit ramp 74A Monday, Sept. 22.

The Florida Department of Transportation announced the eastbound I-4 exit ramp 74A closure Monday, Sept. 22. 

According to the press release, the exit will be closed overnight for a traffic shift, starting as early as 10 p.m. 

The ramp is expected to reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning, Tuesday, Sept. 23. 

During the closure, the FDOT suggests drivers to continue east and take Exit 75A at Universal Boulevard, then turn right onto southbound Universal Boulevard to proceed to Sand Lake Road. 

The FDOT said if crews are unable to finish the work on the night of Monday, Sept. 22, then the work will continue on Tuesday, Sept. 23, and reopen on Wednesday, Sept. 24. 

If they're unable to complete the work then, the same closure will take place on the night of Monday, Sept. 29, and reopen to the public Tuesday, Sept. 30. 

It is advised to follow all posted detour signs.
