Windermere resident dies in car crash

A fatal crash occurred in the early hours of the morning and two are pronounced dead.

Troopers came on-scene to a fatal crash that occurred around 2:17 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26. 

Two vehicles were traveling eastbound in the center outside lane on Sate Road 528 in the area of Orangewood Blvd. A Lamborghini Huracan failed to stop for the Ford F-550 in front of it and struck the rear of the truck.

The passenger of the Lamborghini was a 41-year-old male from Windermere and the driver was a 41-year-old male from Kissimmee. They were transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center and pronounced deceased there. 

The driver of the Ford was a 58-year-old male from Altamonte Springs and he didn’t suffer injuries. 

There is a roadblock for all eastbound lanes of State Road 528. The crash remains under investigation and more information will be provided by the Florida Highway Patrol once it’s obtained.
