The town of Windermere is inviting residents to attend Food Truck Night Friday, April 24, to give back to families in need.

"Food Truck Night continues to be a beloved community gathering, offering a variety of local food vendors, live entertainment and a welcoming atmosphere for families and friends," the town posted. "This April, the event goes beyond entertainment--providing an opportunity for the community to come together and make a tangible difference for families in need across Central Florida."

During the event, Windermere Legacy Fund will be accepting nonperishable food items to donate to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.

Attendees who wish to make monetary donations instead, can do so here, and it will be matched up to $2,500.

According to Second Harvest Food Bank's website, "every $10 provides 40 meals to those who need it most."
