Young Star Musical Theatre is opening a Community Costume Closet.

The closet will be filled with used costumes and accessories for purchase with cash or credit cards.

The Community Costume Closet will be open for the first time from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at 67 S. Dillard St. in Winter Garden.

The organization said on social media that it has been a dream to create "a space where costumes are accessible for every budget and available for our entire community to enjoy."

"Our goal is simple: keep costumes in circulation so they can be reused, reimagined and loved again and again," Young Star Musical Theatre wrote. "This is more than a shop — it's a community resource built for creatives, families and performers of all ages."

People are asked to bring their own bags.

People also can bring in their used costumes and accessories, which will be purchased for cash or in-store credit.
