Foundation Academy girls basketball eighth grader surpasses 300 points

Anai Braxton achieved her 300th career point Tuesday, Feb. 3.

Anai Braxton, an eighth grader, achieved her 300th career point and counting for Foundation Academy girls basketball team. The Class of 2030 player reached the achievement Tuesday, Feb. 3. 

The 5-foot-8 guard is a lefty and she is playing her first season as a Lion. She’s ranked No. 14 in Division 2A for 51 field goals made and No. 146 in Florida. 

Her accomplishment came during the Lions first district game against Ridgeview Global Studies Academy. The Lions won 62-32 and hold a 18-6 overall record this season. The team will play its next district game Friday, Feb. 6, against Lakeland Christian, a fellow 18-6 team.
