The Horizon High cheerleading team made history for its program by securing a fourth-place finish at the National High School Cheerleading Championship Saturday, Feb. 8.

The team competed in the Small Varsity Non Tumbling Division I and achieved a raw score of 86.2 in the finals. The Hawks advanced through the semifinals, where they finished No. 8 with a score of 85, before earning a spot in the 6:23 p.m. finals.

It’s a pathway the program never had accomplished before.
