West Orange High students learned CPR from Winter Garden Professional Firefighters and West Orange athletic trainers Tuesday, Feb. 10.

February is American Heart Month, which is dedicated to raising awareness for heart disease and promoting a healthy lifestyle to support an individual’s heart.

The firefighters and athletic trainers taught over 1,300 West Orange students how to properly conduct CPR on test dummies inside of the school’s gymnasium. The school wrote on social media the training was for World Heart Day.

“When every second counts, you’re never too young to save a life,” the school wrote.
