West, Southwest Orange girls basketball state playoff brackets

Since the start of basketball season in November, teams have played hard to secure a bid into the FHSAA State Playoffs. Now, the brackets are set. 

Six West and Southwest Orange High School girls basketball teams will play for the team’s shot at a state title starting Thursday, Feb. 12. Five of the six teams performed well enough in the regular season and district tournament to kick off the state tournament with a home game. 

Here are the games to look out for in the next two days. 

Class 1A 

7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13

No. 4 Central Florida Christian Academy vs. No. 5 Merritt Island Christian 

Class 2A

6 p.m. Thursday, Feb 12 

No. 3 Foundation Academy vs. No. 6 Benjamin

7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13

No. 3 The First Academy vs. No. 6 The Master’s Academy

Class 3A 

7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13

No. 3 Windermere Prep vs. No. 6 The Villages Charter 

Class 6A

6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13

No. 1 Ocoee vs. No. 8 Hagerty
