High school basketball FHSAA Regional Semifinals games

West and Southwest Orange high schools are sending five girls basketball teams and six boys to the FHSAA State Semifinals.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Foundation Academy’s Coach of the Year recipient, Kim Smith, and the players look to extend their first-ever 20-win season. Ocoee High’s on its way to reclaiming the team's FHSAA Final Four appearance.

BOYS BASKETBALL

The past week since the regional quarterfinals has been eventful for individual players’ recognition. Windermere Prep’s Brandon Bass Jr. and Olympia High’s James Nowells were awarded the Player of the Year for their respective divisions. Bass Jr. also recorded his 2,500th career point on the team’s road to states. 

All of the six boys teams will play at various times Saturday, Feb. 21, for the change to advance to the regional finals.
