Orange County plans warming centers as cold front approaches

Orange County is closely monitoring the weather as temperatures are expected to drop below 40 degrees early next week.

According to a press release, Orange County currently is monitoring weather forecasts which shows evening temperatures may drop below 40 degrees early next week. 

The county is coordinating efforts to support the Homeless services Network to provide short-term overnight shelter for the homeless and those without stable housing. 

The press release indicated the county is preparing to open warming centers if needed while continuing to monitor weather conditions for any changes. 

The county advises its residents to take precautions to protect people, pets and plants. 

Updates will be shared as the county releases more information.
