St. Luke's to host celebration of hymns

Performances will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 1, at 4851 S. Apopka Vineland Road, Suite B, Orlando.

St. Luke's United Methodist Church and Encore Performing Arts will present "HymnSong" conducted by Bradley Roberts Saturday, Feb. 28, and Sunday, March 1. 

"For many people around the world, hymns are what first taught us to fall in love with music," St. Luke's posted on Facebook. "In this celebration of the art of sacred music, encore’s choir and orchestra, St. Luke’s sanctuary Choir and featured soloists will come together to honor the beauty and history of the hymn." 

Performances will take place at St. Luke's Sanctuary located at 4851 S. Apopka Vineland Road, Suite B, Orlando. 

Some performances include "Amazing Grace," "How Great Thou Art" and "It is Well With My Soul." 

Children's tickets cost $7 and adult tickets start at $10. 

Proceeds will go to the Florida Immigration Law and Justice Center, which is a nonprofit providing immigration legal services to low-income immigrants in Florida.
