Ocoee police search for man who ran from officers

The Ocoee Police Department is searching for a man who ran on foot after officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop the night of Wednesday, Feb. 25.

On the night of Wednesday, Feb. 25, officers from the Ocoee Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction near 1st Street and Center Street. 

According to the police department, the vehicle did not stop immediately. 

Shortly afterward, the vehicle came to a stop, however, the driver ran away on foot, abandoning the vehicle. 

Officers conducted a thorough search of the area through helicopters, drones and police cars, but the driver was not located. 

The investigation remains ongoing and the Ocoee Police Department asks anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them.
