Obituary: Joel Millard Doss

Joel Millard Doss, 78, of Ocoee, Florida, passed away on Dec. 26, 2025.

Joel graduated from Ocoee High School. He married Cheri Lee Reisinger on May 1, 1976.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam and Desert Storm.

He had a career in Carpentry and Construction, mostly for Commercial. He had a passion for the outdoors, politics and spending time with family.

Joel is survived by his daughter, Cherice Doss-Gertsman; grandchildren, Phoenix Gertsman, Candence Gertsman, Tory Moore, Kiarnan Kaleshefski-Jones, Arwen Kaleshefski and Martha Mary Paige Kaleshefski; great-grandchildren, Luke Ornes, Aurora Moore and Olivia Moore; and his siblings, Martha Doss-Hopkins, Mary Sue Doss Darley, Marion Faye Doss Akers and Ray Doss.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

A memorial service will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Jan. 16, 2026, at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Florida.

A committal service will follow from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 16, 2026, at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave., Bushnell, Florida 33513.
