The town of Windermere is asking drivers for patience as road closures occur in downtown Windermere Monday, Jan. 19, through Friday, Jan. 23.

Construction will be taking place on Bessie Street, East Boulevard and Eighth and Ninth Avenues.

Crews will be installing storm drainage on Ninth Avenue from East Boulevard to Oakdale Street resulting in the closure of Ninth Avenue between East Boulevard and Oakdale Street.

A road grading crew will be working on Butler Street, removing old road material, replacing it with new road material and grading it. Daytime road closures will take place on Butler Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues.

The boat ramp will be accessible from Seventh Avenue.

Daytime closures also will be in effect for West Second Avenue, especially in the cul-de-sac. Crews will be installing lime rock for curbs on the south side of the street, repairing concrete and paver driveways, and installing stormwater drainage in the cul-de-sac.

The town is asking for drivers to allow for extra travel time and to drive safely.
