She said the classroom was filled with discussions of U.S. history as the students decorated their artwork to be displayed for Whispering Oak’s Read, White & Blue Literacy Night, which is an event dedicated to teaching students through literature, Thursday, Jan. 29.
Students turned the cafeteria into a wax museum, representing figures of their choosing, and visitors pressed a button to turn the statues on. Guests also enjoyed participating in a book exchange, poetry and a room with a rotating mystery reader.
