A man was arrested over the weekend on account of first degree murder with a firearm.

Rijkaard Florvil, a 33-year-old man, was arrested for shooting and killing another man outside of a club near 700 North Apopka Vineland Road. He was arrested Sunday, March 1, on a first-degree murder charge with a fire arm, according to Orange County Corrections.

The deputies responded to the report around 3:30 a.m. to the club after they received a call about an aggravated battery. On the scene they found Kendy Alexandre, 29, who was shot. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

During an interview with investigators, Florvil said he was at the club when a fight broke out in the parking lot, and he fired two shots in the air and left the scene. The surveillance video shows Florviel approaching the victim before a flash is seen, deputies said.
