The Orange County Planning Division wants to hear from the community regarding a rezoning request.

The request is to rezone the site at 1955 S. Apopka-Vineland Road to build 51 detached single-family homes on approximately 21 acres.

The property is west of State Road 91, south of Steer Lake Road and east of South Apopka-Vineland Road.

The property currently is zoned for A-1, which is Citrus Rural District, and R-CE, which is Country Estate District. The applicant, Abdul Alkadry with Harris Civil Engineers, wants to rezone the property to R-1A, which is Single-Family Dwelling District.

The Single-Family Dwelling District allows for single-family detached lots measuring at least 75 feet wide and 7,500 square feet in size.

The community meeting is at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 5, in the auditorium at Olympia High School.
