Windermere Preparatory School announces head of school

Windermere Preparatory School has a new head of school.

Alex Birchenall was appointed to the post effective immediately Thursday, March 5.

Birchenall has been serving as the interim head of school and previously served as the assistant head of school.

As the interim head of school, he "provided thoughtful leadership while continuing to advance important priorities including enrollment growth, campus expansion and progress toward full IB Continuum authorization," according to a Facebook post from the school.

As the assistant head of school, Birchenall guided academic programs across all divisions while strengthening collaboration among leadership and faculty. 

"We look forward to the continued growth and success of Windermere Prep under his leadership," the post said.
