High School girls and boys lacrosse teams' results of the week

The lacrosse season began a month ago for the West and Southwest Orange High School boys and girls lacrosse teams. As the season slowly unfolds, here’s an overview of how each team competed in the past week and the team’s current standings. 

BOYS LACROSSE

Tuesday, March 3 

Lake Buena Vista High (3-6) won 13-2 against Freedom High 

Windermere Preparatory Academy (0-4) lost 1-17 against Melbourne Central Catholic

Wednesday, March 4 

Horizon High (4-4) won 22-5 against University High 

Olympia High (4-3) lost 8-9 in overtime against Edgewater High 

West Orange High (8-2) won 10-1 against  Lake Minneola High 

Windermere High (6-3) won 17-2 against Dr. Phillips High (4-6) 

The First Academy (6-2) won 15-6 against Montverde Academy 

Thursday, March 5 

Ocoee High (2-8) 0-16 Viera High 

GIRLS LACROSSE 

Tuesday, March 3

Ocoee High (0-6) lost 7-8 against East River High 

Wednesday, March 4 

Horizon High (8-0) won 14-6 against Windermere Preparatory Academy (5-2) 

Lake Buena Vista High (4-4) won 15-5 against East River High

Olympia High (3-3) won 15-3 against Cypress Creek High 

The First Academy (7-1) won 21-6 against Windermere High (6-4)
