The city of Ocoee in partnership with contractors Sea & Shoreline will be performing shoreline restoration on Starke Lake.

The restoration efforts, which will be from Monday, March 9, through Friday, March 20, are part of the city's continued Water Quality Improvement Projects.

Boaters should note divers might be in the water near the shoreline during the project, and the boat ramp will remain open.

During the shoreline restoration, aquatic vegetation planting will take place to capitalize on improved water clarity to increase nutrient removal and expand aquatic habitats.

In April, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will add fish to improve recreational fishing opportunities and create a more balanced fish community.
