Oakland General Town Election to take place

The elections will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 10. Voting will take place at 218 E. Oakland Ave., Oakland.

Oakland residents, the town's general election is approaching this Tuesday, March 10. 

From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Oakland residents can stop by Oakland Presbyterian Church at  218 E. Oakland Ave., Oakland, to cast a vote. 

Before you vote, know what's on the ballot.

Two candidates are running for Seat #4 on the Town Commission: Current Seat #4 Commissioner Joseph McMullen, and 15-year Oakland resident Anne Fulton.

Besides voting for the Seat #4 Commissioner, voters also will vote on six charter amendments addressing town commission vacancies, voting thresholds, requirements for run-off elections, qualifications for town commission, conflicting charter amendments, and errors and omissions.
