Ocoee woman faces felony charges after hit-and-run

Elizabeth Gonzalez Vasquez, 49, was arrested Saturday, March 7, after hitting a pedestrian at the intersection of 12th Avenue and Peters Avenue in Ocoee.

An Ocoee woman was arrested Saturday, March 7, after hitting a pedestrian and leaving the scene. 

The crash occurred around 7 p.m. Friday, March 6, the day before she was arrested, at the intersection of 12th Avenue and Peters Avenue in Ocoee.

Elizabeth Gonzalez Vasquez, 49, allegedly failed to stop or provide her information, leaving the victim with serious bodily injuries. 

Investigators said she also tried to hide her vehicle to intervene with the investigation.

She now faces felony charges for the hit-and-run, as well as tempering with evidence.
