Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute has launched a new program piloted at Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital.

The program, known as the Vascular Access Program, supports patients with end-stage renal disease by providing urgent access interventions, placing and revising dialysis catheters and addressing blocked or failing fistulas and grafts.

The program's goal is to provide timely and reliable access to dialysis treatment patients depend on.

"This achievement reflects the collaboration of an incredible multidisciplinary clinical team working together to ensure patients can receive timely care close to home," Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute posted online. "Congratulations and thank you to the entire team for this outstanding achievement."
