A 13-year-old teen was struck by a vehicle Friday, March 6, at the intersection of Peters Avenue and 12th Avenue in Ocoee.

Elizabeth Gonzalez-Vasquez, 49, was the driver. She failed to stop or provide any information, fleeing the scene.

Ryan suffered from a broken collarbone, fractured pelvis and a blood clot in his brain.

“These injuries have made it extremely difficult for me to move around,” Ryan’s GoFundMe says.

His family is asking for support —through donations, prayers and sharing his story.

His GoFundMe is set up for $2,400 to help with medical expenses. At the time of publication, his family has raised $1,200.

Gonzalez-Vasquez faces two felony charges regarding the hit-and-run and tempering with physical evidence as she attempted to hide her truck after the incident.

She currently is out on bond.
