Road work to take place in downtown Windermere

Crews will be working on East Boulevard, Bessie, Butler and Magnolia streets, as well as Third, Seventh, Eighth and Ninth avenues,

Various roads in downtown Windermere will undergo road work from Monday, March 23, to Friday, March 27. 

Crews will be working to install storm drainage alongside Third Street and across the intersection of Third Avenue and Magnolia Street. The retention area at the end of Third Avenue also is expected to be complete this week. Crews also will be forming and pouring a concrete weir at the retention area, and Orange County Water is relocating a service line. 

A crew will be grading a swale in Fernwood Park and might continue work along Butler and Forest streets and Seventh Avenue, working on swales and road shoulders.

Crews also will be performing miscellaneous activities at Bessie Street, East Boulevard and Eighth and Ninth avenues. 

Work might include road grading, right-of-way grading and some concrete work. 

Lastly, crews will be grading lime rock base in preparation for paving from 914 to 939 W. Second Ave.

Paving is scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, and Wednesday, April 1. 

There will be a full road closure from 801 W. Second Ave. to the cul de sac from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 31.
