Ocoee installs Purple Heart City signs

Ocoee announced Purple Heart City signs now are being installed across the city. 

This comes after the city was proclaimed a Purple Heart City in October 2025. 

One sign has been installed on south Maguire Road and another on the north end of Ocoee-Apopka Road. 

"Ocoee is honored to receive this special designation that recognizes the bravery and sacrifices of our nation's combat-wounded veterans," the city posted online. "This recognition strengthens our ongoing commitment to honor, support and remember those who have served." 

More signs soon will be installed. 

"Keep an eye out as we continue to show our gratitude to all Purple Heart recipients," the city continued. "Thank you for your service and sacrifice."
