Matthew's Hope reminded everyone to be careful when frequenting their properties. The non profit almost lost one of its TTransitional Homes due to a fire in the yard that started from a discarded cigarette.

The extreme dry weather is presenting an extra danger when it comes to fires and everyone needs to be extra diligent, Matthew's Hope wrote on its social media post.

The damage is costing Matthew's Hope around $10,000, which it cannot afford right now so until the repairs are made, the house will stay unusable. No one was injured in the incident.

Visit Matthew's Hope if you would like to help the non profit.
