Hurricane Irma causes changes to high school football schedule -- Observer Preps

Orange County Public Schools announced Tuesday it would move all varsity football games scheduled for Friday up one day, to Thursday, and many private schools have already followed suit.

The threat of Hurricane Irma has caused many local athletic programs to move their football contests scheduled for this Friday up one day to Thursday.

In addition to private schools who have made this decision, all Orange County Public Schools are doing so after the district put out a statement saying as much.

Below is a list, updated as of 11 p.m. Sept. 5, of which games have been moved to Thursday, which games have been postponed and which games are unaffected by the storm.

Olympia at Edgewater

Windermere at University (Orlando)

The First Academy at Orlando Christian Prep

CFCA at Windermere Prep

The Master's Academy (Oviedo) at Orangewood Christian

 

Canceled/postponed

Jupiter Christian at Legacy Charter

Carrollwood Day (Tampa) at Foundation Academy

 

Games unaffected

Bishop Moore at Archbishop Spalding (Maryland) — 7 p.m., Sept. 8
