The Museum Committee of the Oakland Nature Preserve has scheduled a book giveaway in conjunction with the upcoming Community Garage Sale this Saturday, June 7.

The ONP Museum includes a library where students can research natural history subjects or enjoy a nature magazine. Due to limited space, the decision was made to give some of the books and magazines at no cost to local science and nature enthusiasts.

Free books include texts about the natural history of plants and animals, basic biology, environmental conservation and a few collectibles with drawings and photos, as well as some classic magazines and journals.

Despite the controversy over the necessity of books with the upsurge of digital information, ONP is committed to maintaining a library of select books. Take this opportunity to increase the home library.

For more information, contact ONP at 407-905-0054 or email [email protected].
