Winter Garden celebrated in style during the seventh annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Jan. 17, at the Orlando Magic Center.
The event began with a community march — highlighted by a huge "Dream" banner created by students in the local Boys and Girls Clubs — and continued with a plethora of festivities, including remarks from City Commissioner Bobby Olszewski, an opening prayer from the Rev. Gregory Clayton and an invocation by Velma Jefferson.
C.L. West and his band performed for the crowd, as children enjoyed bounce houses, face painting and more.
