Name: Parker Conrad

School: Winter Park High School

Age: 17

Class year: 2016

Sport: Softball

Position: Pitcher

Accomplishments: Three-year varsity starter, two years as varsity captain, verbally committed to play at the University of Missouri

Favorite athletes: My pitching coach because she always has an answer to any doubt that I may have. She always helps me with looking at the positives in any situation even if I can't seem to find one. She gives you a new perspective that makes sense to you on anything you have to deal with. She teaches you how to be a successful player but also about how to a better person outside of my sport. She always knows what to say and when to say it and she is a great role model for me.

Hopes for the future: My hopes for my future are to hopefully get a chance to play on the Junior National team. And once I graduate high school I want to be an impact pitcher for the University of Missouri, and after that I want to play pro-softball either in Australia or Japan.

What would you like to study in college and why? I either want to study emergency medicine or elementary education. I really enjoy the medical field and I want to work in an emergency trauma center because you never know what you're gonna get each day. I also really love little kids. I love playing with them and watching them become their own person. And they’re just really cute at that age.

What do you like to do for fun? I love to go to the beach, it's calming and it's just something that makes me feel happy. I just really love softball – I would rather go pitch or field then go to a party. I find that softball is what I do for fun.

Why do you like being a Winter Park Wildcat? What I like about being a Wildcat is how close the school really is. Everybody knows who you are. Teachers that you don't even have come up to you and say that they a rooting for you and love watching you play. I like that I have the opportunity to play a sport for my high school for years.
