The event, spearheaded by Keene’s Pointe resident Christy Lynch, featured authentic African fare, a dance performance by The Maisha Group, djembe drumming by Mohammad Camara and a multicultural fashion show. Attendees also perused a variety of booths featuring African arts and crafts.
Funds raised will benefit the Wells Built Museum of African American History and Culture, which opened in 2009 in Orlando.
