WINTER GARDEN Zion New Life Lutheran Preschool gave its preschool students a hands-on experience to teach them about the first Thanksgiving on Nov. 18.
The preschoolers got to wash laundry on a washboard, roll out bread dough by hand, create their own jewelry, sit in a tipi and visit with some animals. With half of the students dressed as Native Americans and the other as Pilgrims, everyone came together at the end of the morning for a Thanksgiving feast.
