Three back-to-back hurricanes struck Central Florida and West Orange County 12 years ago. Charley was followed closely by Frances and Jeanne, bringing much rain and damage to the region in the fall of 2004. Flooded lakes and streets and downed trees and power lines created quite a mess for residents, who no sooner had cleaned everything up then learned another storm was bearing down.
