ORLANDO Extravagant lighting and decor, cocktails, acrobatic and dance performances and hundreds of giving hearts were all part of Give Kids The World Village’s 29th Annual Black & White Gala on Saturday, Sept. 16. GKTW Village is a 79-acre, nonprofit resort in Kissimmee “that provides weeklong, cost-free vacations to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families,” according to its website. The gala, held this year at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, is one of the organization’s biggest annual fundraisers, with a turnout of more than 1,000 guests and community leaders who know and love the cause behind GKTW Village. In the past the gala has raised more than $650,000 for the village each year.
