Horizon West residents soon will have a new place to grab a pint, a plate of bangers and mash and enjoy live music with the opening of Yeoman’s Cask & Lion in Hamlin.

Yeoman’s Cask & Lion is a British-themed restaurant and pub operated by 23 Restaurant Services that’s set to open this fall at the Hamlin Town Center.  The new location will be the pub’s first location in Central Florida. The original Yeoman’s location is located in downtown Tampa.

“Yeoman’s is our British-themed pub,” 23 Restaurant Services spokeswoman Lindsay Kenyon said. “It’s definitely one of our most fun restaurants. You come in for wonderful food, a great atmosphere, and then we have live music throughout the week.”

Kenyon said the pub offers British staples, such as bangers and mash, fish and chips and shepherd’s pie. The menu also offers an assortment of American dishes.

“If you don’t like British food, we also have American dishes,” Kenyon said. “We have — what I would say — the best Philly cheesesteak in town,” Kenyon said. “It’s really, really delicious. We have a great assortment of macaroni and cheeses that people rave about (and) chicken wings, burgers and wonderful salads.”

Yeoman’s Cask & Lion will have two full-liquor bars — one located inside the restaurant and one located on the outdoor patio. Drinks will include craft beers and cask ales.

The interior of the pub will set the illusion of stepping onto the streets in England with wood and brick textural elements on the walls, blue and red colors throughout the pub and two Royal Guard mannequins guarding the entrance.

“We’ve really tried to wrap our heads around doing a British theme inside, and when you step through the door, you can really see that when you come into the restaurant,” Kenyon said.

Yeoman’s Cask & Lion will be 23 Restaurant Services’  third restaurant to open in the Hamlin Town Center. The other two restaurants are Ford’s Garage and Capone’s Coal Fired Pizza.
